Molasses Monday!  My calves were not happy this morning :(  I had to stop and scrape them.  It helped :)  Mondays are going to be flat days from now on.  The hills were very bothersome this morning.  Oh well, live and learn.  I need to get ready for work.

Have a great day everyone!

Way to get out there. Good job this morning. You asked about the Payson run this saturday. We actually drive up Payson Canyon and then run out into Salem and end up at Salem Chevron. It is a total of 22 miles. I have not done this before but have heard (From the Spanish Fork Running Club) that it is a good prepatory coarse for SGM. We are meeting at 4:45 then driving up so I would guess we would be coming out of the canyon (by Peteetneet school) around 7:00am. You should come try to find us and even run the last little bit with us if you wanted. Let me know what your thoughts are. Have a good day Marion!!

PS> I love reading your posts, you crack me up. Your darling :)

Way to go! I hate Mondays, too. Especially the ones following fast Sunday---no energy at all whatsoever. Molasses moves faster than I did today!

I can't believe you have found the perfect qualifier word for Mondays. Mondays are always so tough -- like molasses to get moving again. You get extra-extra points for the biking and the yoga. That's fantastic. Also, thanks for all your encouragement and entertaining blog entries. Are you going on that 22 miler on Saturday? Sounds like a great run up that way!

From marion on Mon, Sep 08, 2008 at 17:44:56

As for saturday- I only need 5 miles on Sat, because I am on a cut back week :D No marathon for me :D So, I am going to run up the canyon from my house and hopefully meet the group running down for just a "Hello" jog for a mile or two;) Are you going to come down for it? The canyon is FANTASTIC!!! I really love running down it. It's a nice rollie pollie canyon ;) Next year I'll be there 100% :)

Kellie- how far up the canyon are you guys going? It's only about 2.3 miles to the Cheveron from Peteetneet. Is Michelle taking you on a fancy way through Salem?

I really would like to run up that way. I am committed through SGM to run with my friend Catherine on Saturdays. I just read your blog from yesterday and I can totally relate. It' hard to relearn to listen to what your body has to say (appeitite-food-wise). It is hard, but WE CAN do HARD things! I am with you on this one honey. Eating healthy for a life time will be our '7-minute mile.'

From marion on Mon, Sep 08, 2008 at 18:26:23

We can do hard things, but sometimes I feel like eating healthy is more like a 6 min mile or even a 5. I CAN DO HARD THINGS!!! I can do hard thing! I can do hard things. I CAN DO HARD THINGS!!!!

You should see if your friend wants to come down too for the run :)

You did a ton of exercise in one day! WOW!! I wish I would have met you at Leslie's fundraiser. One of these days.

Marion, Yes, I am going to come out for the saturday run for sure so watch for me and give me that big HELLO!!! I am not sure how far we would go up the canyon. I would assume just a little under 20 miles up since they want to go 22 miles back to Chevron. I ran it a couple of weeks ago but we only went up 11 miles and ran out, so it should be interesting to see how the day pans out. So we meet at Chevron but then drive up the canyon and then run out. I don't know if we run on the highway ( I would assume not) or if we take back roads. Sorry I am not more help!! Watch for us at the bottom of the canyon though, I am sure we will have a quick pit stop there before running out the last few miles. Have a great day Marion :) It's always good to hear from you :)
