My hubby, David, came with me this morning and we walked, with a little run at the end.  He pulled a calf muscle last month and is a little gun shy about starting to run again.  I was happy to have a walk today.  Tomorrow I will run an easy 2.5 and then 10 miles on Sat.  I should be good and rested for that after this very low miles week.  I may rearange my schedule so that I have a shorter long run on my easy weeks.  We'll see how it goes.  It might be really nice.  Hobble Creek is getting close and I am getting SO excited!  I have learned SO much.  I am quite sure I won't beable to break 2 hours, BUT, I am sure that I will be able to have a good run in the best time possible (baring any unforseen misshaps ;)  Whatever it is, it will be and I will be good with it!

I posted my walk info- not sure why, habbit I guess :D  Have a GREAT day!

Did my yoga class yet again this morning!  Yeah me!  2 in a row!!!  Funny thing, my hip flexors, which ususally KILL me when I get out of the car- are fine after some serious yoga sessions. I LOVE YOGA-I LOVE YOGA-I LOVE YOGA!

no ratting me out- but... I had a diet pepsi today :D

A nice walk with hubby!!! I am getting excited about my Half Marathon too, I am so hoping to do under an under 11 min. mile, but any improvement will be good. My last half was acouple of years ago and I did it in 2:40 so I should be able to do alot better than that. Good luck to us both!!! It will be fun to compare notes!!!!

From Lybi on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 14:59:44

Yea! Good luck at Hobble Creek! Is this your very first half marathon? I've only done one, and I was mightily impressed at how long 13 miles is! It was a great experience, though, and I'm sure you'll be triumphant. :)

You are a WW leader? I am a fan of WW and lifetime member. That's how I loose my baby pounds. Bet you are a great leader--you are so enthusiastic!

Thanks for the well wishes! The 10 miler a few weeks ago wasn't too bad ;) so I am hoping for a little luck with the 1/2. It is my first and I am trying not to psych myself out! Train hard and smart and what will be will be.

Yes, I am a WW leader. I really love WW :D Hey- if you are ever up here, you'll have to hit one of my meetings. Thanks so much for the kind words!!

Good job on getting out and taking hubby with you! 5 weeks until my half marathon!

From marion on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 16:08:06

Hey Tarzan- Which 1/2 are you doing?

Why are you Tarzan? Isn't he a 90% naked guy (super tan and buff) who swings in trees? Is there something we don't know about you? Were you raised by gorillas?

From tarzan on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 16:40:17

Marion - I am doing the Provo Trail Half.

I have been a tomboy since I was little. I used to have every Tarzan book ever written and wanted to be Tarzan when I grew up.

Yes, I was raised by gorillas. We liked to monkey around in our spare time.

From marion on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 16:48:00

ah HA! I wasn't much of a girl either- I can dress up like one pretty good these days, but I still am more tom-boy too. Hey- I never read the tarzan books, I was more into the Hardy Boys :D

From Kim on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 20:58:14

Lybi, Marion is an awesome leader! I am lucky enough to get to work with her once in a while! How cool is that!?

Tarzan, I'm so glad to hear the story behind your name. It's always fun to learn a bit more about people! I love that you were raised by gorillas!

Leslie and Marion, Good, good luck on your upcoming halfs! You are both doing so good! You will have a great experience! I will be running Hobble Creek too! We'll have to get some pictures after, (or before when we can do the glamor shots!)

From leslie peterson on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 21:11:21

Marion, I had to get out my magnifying glasses, did you say you had a DIET PEPSI???

I wish I was doing Hobblecreek, it is a super course, but I am doing Bryce Canyon July 19.

So Kim are you a WW leader too?

Way to go on Yoga today! Two in a row for you! I did laps two in a row. We are such good girls!!!! Yeah for us!!!!

From marion on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 21:16:06

Bravo stickers for us ALL!!!

From Shauna on Thu, Jul 10, 2008 at 22:55:45

Great job, Marion! That's also encouraging to hear that yoga is helping you so much. I did it last week, and it was HARD!!!

From marion on Fri, Jul 11, 2008 at 00:11:53

I think a lot of people think it is going to be easy and are very surprised by how hard it is. I love it because I feel so POWERFUL and strong. It makes pretty arms too! ;)
