News FLASH!!!  Right now at this very moment, I am #9 on the mileage board!  HOLY CRAP!!!  I my just DIE!!!  I think I like all the high milers running a marathon.  I get to be king of the hill for a breif moment in time :D

I woke up at 5 am and could not go back to sleep!  ARGH!!!  Yes, I am a pirate today!   At 5:45 it started to rain, but the heavens smiled upon us and it cleared up just in time to have a beautiful run.   At six, Kim R, Tricia and I headed out.  As I type the sun is just peaking out over the mountain. :)  We ran from my house to the canal trail and over to Santaquin.  It was pretty dark for the first half.  The second half was perfect.  My hip flexor and neuromas got a little irritated about mile 7, but knocked it off by mile 8.  I was pretty tired for the last two miles.  I took the shock blocks with me.  They were yummy!  I loved them.  I did eat only one jolly rancher and 2 of my gatorades from my water belt.  I would have liked to have had three.  Kim gave me some of her water at about mile 9.  I stretched before the run and then after.  I am going to go down and do a yoga class right now.

Good luck to all you SGM runners!  Post as soon as you can to let us know how you did!

Your awesome! I will be happy with 5 or six today. Good job!

Oh, those shock blocks cant be good for you, they taste way to good. I can't take many packs of those, I will eat all on a run even if I don't need them.

I LOVE Arrrrtichokes! They are my favorite!! I always knew I was a pirate at heart!

Jon- You'll get them in! You can't let me beat you! And those shock blocks are WONDERFUL!! I am really going to have to watch it with those things. The gu is NASTY. I like the beans, but the blocks are the best tasting.

AND... I must brag, I just made 4 loaves of whole wheat bread! 3 regular and one is a pizza braid. I am feeling very cool! If I can get over myself, I need to make peach salsa too.

It's a one hour recipe and it is REALLY easy. I like it as well as my really compicated ones that take 4 hours!

10.5 c bread flour

1/2 C sugar

2 T salt

3 rounded T saf-instant yeast

3 T liquid lecithin

4 C hot tap water

Mix dry ingredients. Add lecithin to the water.

*I put the wet ingredients into the mixer (I dissolve the yeast & the sugar in 1 C of the water, I have regular yeast) I add the salt then I add the flour 1 cup at a time until it almost cleans the bowl. It is a sticky dough. Knead for a while :) I spray the counter with pam and then divide the dough into four. It makes 4 loaves of bread or 2 cookie sheets of bread sticks.

To make the jelly bread, I just rollout the loaf and spread jam. Roll it up and let it rise in the pan or 25 min. Bake at 350 for about 25 min.

Add one cup of applesauce to the whole wheat version.

That was definitely a 2 cheeseburger run.
