Now, I woke up feeling pretty regular, you know the morning, "I'd rather stay in bed" feeling, except not even as bad as some days.  Anyway, I deciede to run first and do yoga later.  So I headed off.  My calves were pretty tight, so I stopped to stretch a few times.  The first three miles felt really great and relaxed.  It was dark so I couldn't see my garmin, good thing.  At mile 3 I really did no feel so well.  I wanted to stop.  At 3.5 miles I started to get a stitch in my side, like I do when I am running my very fastest.  Anyway, after looking at my splits I guess I am sick ;)  Geez-louise!  I feel pretty warn out and tired.  I went to the store and bought everything that looked good.  I bought bananas, cantelope, pineapple, grapes, strawberries and oranges.  I have already taken the last 2 days off of work and I am still trying to find a sub for tonights meeting.  I sure hope I can.  I think I can keep this from getting full blown if I can just rest a bit.  David will be home tomorrow morning and all day Friday.

Running- 4.04, 57:14, best 10:47, Laps- 14:55, 13:38, 14:07, 13:45

Biking- not planning on it today.   I'll see how I feel after breakfast.  The boys are already begging to go :(

Yoga- Who knows, I'll just have to see how I feel later.

Push-ups!  No way! :D

Take care. So wise to go out and buy fruit!!! (I just blogged about that, what a coincidence.) When you've rested and recovered, you'll be stronger than ever.

Marion -- Please take care of yourself. Lots of rest, fluids, and all the good stuff you bought at the store. Any chance you have any Emergen-C packets. Love those! Probably not a good idea to stand on your head for too long while you're sick either. Then again ... how would I know!! REST REST REST is what you need. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.

Thanks Ladies :) I am. I am lying on the couch with a warm cozy blanket and my laptop :) No headstands for sure. I tried one last night and couldn't hold it at all. I was actually pretty unbalanced yesterday morning too, but I fought through it. None today. I may do a breathing class today if I feel like it. I need someone to make me veggie scramble. I'm not sure my 5 year old can handle it :) I'm too cold to do it myself ;)

Hey, take care of yourself, I actually think your early run was a good idea, sometimes it takes the sickness right out of you, but do rest up and I agree with Teena on the Emergen C Packets. Rest up, hope the kiddlets let you take a nap today. You need some good sleep. Take care Marion!

From Megan on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 13:26:20

Hi Marion... hope you feel better real soon, I'd probably just take the rest of the day pretty easy. I left this morning when it was still dark too, for my long run. I always have run a bit slower in the dark to see where the heck I'm going. Get Some Rest!

From Metcalf Running on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 13:31:40

Marion, Still got your run in... you go girl that is awsome. Now try and take it easy... get some rest and I hope you are feeling better soon.

From sarah on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 14:15:04

i wish I could come take care of you...hang in there and good job on resting. I think resting as soon as you notice you are sick is vital in the recovery process...it's bad to put it off a day even...get better soon.

From marion on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 14:32:39

Thanks SArah- I would let you take care of me too, except it is probably the croup my baby had over the weekend, so I am afraid to be around anyone. Croup absolutely is horrible with kids. You guys need to stay SUPER healthy. I think the only time we have ever gotten flu shots was the winter Will was born. He was my only winter baby and i was horrified he'd get sick.

7 years ago I had pneumonia for 5 months, so I am REALLY good at nipping illness in the bud! (or at least trying too :)

From Kelli on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 14:53:18

Oh, so sorry to hear you are still not feeling well! I am glad you are resting and that you have put the push ups off for another day. Just do not get to far behind or I will beat you to 100!
