Tummy trouble yesterday gave me NO energy for today.  That was a bit of a hard run.  Hopefully my stomach will settle down today and give me a chance to recuperate.  I am SO glad that my legs are not giving me any trouble these days :)  Slow is obnoxious, but it seems to work at warding off injury!

Sounds like the 10 mile run for Saturday is on.  7 am in Lehi by Thanksgiving Point.  We will be running on the Jordan River Parkway.  The super fast speedies can run further, as to end at the same time as the pokies, if they like ;)  Thanks to Smooth, we have these great directions.  South bound I-15 take exit 282, continue south on US-89 (State St) for 0.5 mi.

North bound I-15 take exit 282 (1200 West), turn left (west), go under freeway overpass and south onto US-89 (State St) for 0.5 mi.

Turn right at 1500 N(Chevron Gas Station).

Travel west for 2.0 miles to Jordan River.

JRP access is just before the bridge.  A small unpaved parking area is on the south side (pull of to the left) of the road. W
e can meet there.  Kelli said she is brining muffins and I will bring hot chocolate.

From luzylew on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 10:40:38

You said it, slow is annoying. But a necessary evil. I'm with you on that one.

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:35:09

Good job. Sorry about the tummy troubles. It is becasue you are eating too good, you need some JUNK!!!

From Megan on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:36:29

Morning Marion. yes sometimes Slow is what we have to do, atleast you did it! I always tell myself that, lol. I hope your tummy gets better ASAP. Your 10 miler on Saturday sounds awesome, have fun!

PS - have you been doing any yoga lately?

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:45:14

Meg- no Yoga latley- I have been a major slacker! Next week I will get back on board :D I feel like I have been beat today! Food doen't even sound good... just diet pepsi!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:45:39

Ok- bacon sounds good!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:46:15

Maybe some hashbrowns too! Anyone want to come over and make me a heart attack breakfast?

From The Howling Commando on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:52:18

For my sake, and everyone that has to see me on a daily basis, I hope that I can avoid looking like this poor guy when I run out in the snow:

From montelepsy on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:55:01

I'm no good at bacon. I usually underdo it. I tried to make hashbrowns once and made hot potato slaw instead.

So I could come over and ruin breakfast for you.

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 12:56:47

Mike- I'll take it! Now if you come here, does that mean you'll be here yesterday?

Benn- that picture is AWESOME!!

From montelepsy on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:04:08

Yes. Just let me find some plutonium for my DeLorean.

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:10:57

I just had some bacon on my sandwich---it was good! However, I have to buy the precooked cause I ruin it as well. But I can make some mean hashbrowns out of red potatoes!!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:11:51

Benn, that guys needs to see a dentist!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:13:50

Mike- I loved that movie. CAn you even find a DeLorean in Iraq?

Kelli- Those hashbrowns sound WONDERFUL!!!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:16:51

They are, and healthy if I do not slather them in BUTTER.

From seeaprilrun on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:28:40

I hope your stomach gets better! I hate running with belly cramps--it is so distracting and miserable. I wish I lived anywhere near and could go on a group run! I always run alone--I don't know what it is like to not run alone! It sounds like fun.

From leslie on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:48:10

I just saw your picture! I love the sexy side swoosh of your hair!!! I will see if I can find picture, but yours would be tough to top!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:50:33

I just posted my 80's pic and I've got more! The hair ROCKS!!! That pic was 86, I believe.

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 13:51:37

OH WOW!!! Now, that is a side swoosh!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, as always.

From RivertonPaul on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 14:09:12

Nice pic!

From Smooth on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 14:43:29

LOVE your pic. B-E-A-U-T-I-FUL smile!!!

Love your 80's doo. I call that a bushy swooshy sexy bang. Kinda like Princess Diana with an American attitude. Halleluja for hair-spray!!!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 14:55:09

Thanks guys- Aqua Net was a girls best friend in the 80's. It also doubled as a blow torch!

From montelepsy on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 14:55:12

Wow! That's why we have a hole in the ozone!

That is a kodak smile!

From kungfublonde on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 15:29:01

Your picture is awesome. Unlike yours, mine are actually embarrassing (flock of seagulls!) and I dont' have the guts to post them. My 90's pics are a little better, but the 80's ones have to remain, as Mike says, classified. :)

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 15:32:44

Rachel- Come on! Tomorrow I am going to post a Sadie Hawkins picture of David and me from 1996! It's HOT!!! I LOVED the Flock of Seaguls! "And I ran, I ran so far away.." You can not run from the 80's. I was fat in the 90's. I posted fat pictures- you can post the flock of seaguls!!!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 15:33:53

I mean 1986! I was pregnant in 1996 with #3!

From Kelsey on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 16:15:32

Those are the most impressive feathered bangs. EVER.

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:20:05

If I only had a scanner....I am a little younger so my HS pictures have the bangs to heaven of the early 90's!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:28:55

I must confess, the bangs to heaven did not fly in CA like they did in Utah! I bet you look HOT!!!

From Teena on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:41:40

Marion ---

Post some more 80s pictures!! What a riot!!!

Love it!!

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:42:25

Oh, man!! Was that a Utah thing? Teena and I both had them!

From Teena on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:45:27

Oh Kelli --

Funny, funny, funny ... what were we thinking?? One of these days I'll have to pull out Ryan's yearbooks. I'm pretty sure mine got destroyed when my parents' house caught on fire. I'll have to look into that!! FUNNY STUFF!!! And ... didn't Scott have hair back then??? :)

From Kelli on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:47:04

Yes, Scott had a hair! Not much, and it was ugly, but he had it! Uh-oh, you do not have a scanner do you??? If so, post my senior picture, that one is by far the cutest!

From JulieC on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:48:59

Awesome pic. I am actually going tonite as an 80s chick. Got the plastic jewelry and horizontal striped sweater that has a wing-like appearance when you hold up your arms. Doing some funky pony tail up high and to the side as well. Oh and some fish net nylons with one of those wide sweater belts. Oh the sweet memories.

From Teena on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 17:49:37

How I wish I had a scanner right now!! Maybe I can talk Ryan into taking the yearbook to work tomorrow and scanning some pics for me!! That'd be good!! I'll try to convince him.

From Camille on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 19:18:47

Cute 80's picture! I've got to find mine.

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 21:48:22

Thanks guys- I want to see yours!!! Bring it! The contest is ON!!!

From kungfublonde on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 22:02:08

Marion, the difference is that you are beautiful at any weight and any age. I have not been so blessed. But I will try to find some old ones that are not so hideous. I do have some dance pictures of me and Mike in ... 1988 or '89...

From Camille on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 22:08:32

:o) I agree, Marion, you are gorgious! I posted 80's child pictures on my site. I don't think I can compete with your picture though!

From marion on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 22:13:36

You guys are very kind. Camille, your pics are TOO cute! I think my sisters had those dresses. I know my sister in law does ;)

Rachel- we've got to see the pics! I do not believe that you were not a fabulous teen!! WE MUST! Tomorrow I am posting a dance pic ! Whoo hoo!

From Camille on Wed, Oct 29, 2008 at 22:18:37

Thanks! The poka dot dress I'm wearing in the second picture is a flower girl dress my mom made me for my Aunt's wedding. And, my mom made my brother that hideous outfit for Easter. Poor boy! :o)

From Lucia on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 09:28:34

Hey, that's not fair Marion, that is not a bad picture at all!!! I know you can do better than that!!!

From marion on Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 09:38:42

Lucia- check out todays Pic's :)
