My Favorite Quote-   "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." -Harriet Beecher Stowe

I started running in May of 2006 while losing 85 lbs after my youngest was born.  I have 6 fantastic kids, 3 girls and 3 boys and a wonderful husband.  My oldest is in college and my baby is in pre-school. (Six kids in 5 schools ;)

When my 7 year old jumped on my bed this morning and my gut SCREAMED, I decided to take to the day off.  I felt much better yesterday afternoon than I had on previous days.  I am hoping one running-jiggle-free day will give it the rest it needs to be OK for tomorrows run :)

Don't forget the run tomorrow.  Everyone is invited.  Please check Wednesdays entry for information.  Have a very Happy Halloween!

Here is a great quote from Aristotle:

"We are what we repeatedly do.  Excellence is not an act, but a habit."

Nice quotation. Hope you feel better soon. Forget child abuse, what about all the moms who are chronically injured by their exuberant offspring? DD almost broke my nose once with her hard head. We deserve a raise!

From marion on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 09:15:02

The nose hits are the WORST!!! He actually didn't hit my tummy, he just gave the bed a really good shake and that was enough to make my belly cry out! Not a good sign!!!

We DEFINITELY need a RAISE!!! I am going to petition for one after breakfast! ;)

From lelsie on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 09:52:20

Ouch! Take it easy today my dear, we need you tomorrow! Hey, if you feel crappy I will walk with you if that is what it takes. Happy Hallowween!

From marion on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 09:54:34

Thanks Les- I know I can count on you ;)

Nevels- I think as a mom, taking one for the team is a daily occurance ;) It's a good thing I don't bruise easily! ;D

I think you might be pregnant.

From marion on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 12:52:55

I feel pregnant, but no such luck ;) Every time I stand up I want to pass out. I am guessing that my blood pressure is very low due to all the healthy eating and tummy issues. My heart rate is really low too. I'm just out of wack!

From leslie on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 12:55:40

so sorry!!! I hope with some good rest you will improve thru the day. I hope you don't have to go to the Halloween parade at school!

From tarzan on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 12:56:44

OK - better eat a bunch of sugar to get your blood pressure up.

NO SCHOOL PARADED!!! EEEEkkkk!

I have had a snickers already and a diet pepsi. The doc recommends caffiene for it. :D

From kungfublonde on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 18:39:33

Your doctor prescribes Snickers?? That's it, I'm moving to Utah. I can't run with you guys, but dang girl, I sure can eat with you!!

From marion on Fri, Oct 31, 2008 at 18:44:36

Yes- my doctor believes that snickers will cure everything. It is a new holistic approach to healing :)
