Oh, what a beautiful morning, oh, what a beautiful day!  I've got a beautiful feeling, everything's going my way :D

This weather is my absolute favorite!  In case you are wondering why I am in such a good mood, even with a croupy 2 year old, well... my weight is FINALLY dropping :D  YEAH!!!  Halleluiah!!!  Anyway, I am also pretty excited because last week went so well.  I am finally feeling like I am getting used to ALL of this extra exercise.  Woo Hoo!  I am probably going to LIVE ;D

Rest week over... this week is back to building running miles.  I am going by the 10% rule, sort of.  This week is 26 running miles.  I will bike up to 90 minutes per day of  kick my bum exercise ;)  I have been converting the biking into running miles by dividing the total biking minutes by 12 (Sasha's conversion # for me).  12 minutes of biking = 1 mile of running. My actual biking miles have not been as many as they have been without the trailer and kids.  I also have been trying to bike on the flattest roads I can find.  The gloves I bought at the bike store have helped immensely with the numbness and soreness in my hands and arms.  Oh yeah, yoga everyday too.  My IT band is finally getting over itself and not killing my hip anymore.  Yippee!!!

I think I have got a handle on the starvation feeling.  I am making sure to eat every two hours to satisfaction.  For those of you familiar with the Weight Watchers Core Plan, that is what I am following.  For those of you not familiar with this food plan, it has NO Points.  It has you eat from a list of wholesome and nutritious foods without tracking.  The list of foods consists of lean meats, beans, whole grains, fat free dairy, fruits and vegetables, basically.  Anyway,  I am feeling great.  Our peach tree is almost ripe, and I cannot wait to eat them all.

I am very excited to see what this week brings.  The weather is supposed to be wonderful, so life is good.  I wish you all well this week.

MM (molasses monday :)-  Last night when I went to bed, I already did not want to get up in the morning.  I should have known that was a BAD sign ;0  Well, I have not had such a hard time getting up in the morning in a long time.  I had myself almost convinced to just take the boys in the jogger later and stay asleep.  Anyway- I finally dragged myself out of bed in just enough time to be back for the kids to get off to school. :D  It was a beautiful run.  It felt great, all be it slow.  At least I got my negative splits in :D  I just finished my breakfast and now we are off for a bike ride :)

I am really excited about the Running Series to get into St. George for next year.  I am hoping it works out :)  Have a great day!  This week is supposed to be gorgeous!

Running 3.56 miles, 46:57,  ave 13:11, best 8:19, Laps- 13:47, 13:15, 11:24, 10:39(.22)

Biking- 43 minutes converts to 2.58 running miles.  Again with the boys.  I think the steroids that Will is on for the croup is causing a little cranky-ness.  The bike ride was filled with screams and yelling from the trailer.  AUGH, yet again.  Oh well.  I think I need a nap as much as my boys do.

Yoga 60 minutes- This was a back bend class with Necia.  It was  a total disaaster.  The boys fought the whole time.  At one point I had to stop and drag, literally, Mac (5) to his room for a time out.  ARGH!!!  I still got a great workout, just not the "Zen" I was looking for.  I guess I am going to have to get up at 6 and do yoga first.  Although my run felt a lot better without the yoga first.  Humm.  What shall I do?  It's a quandry ;)

I woke up at 4:48 am.  It was clear that I was up for the day so I got up and did my yoga class and then went running.  Now I just need to get the boys ready and bike :)  I have so much to do today and I need to get going.  The run was nice and somewhat relaxing.  I am feeling VERY stressed right now by many things in my life.  I am going to take a look at what can be cut out.  We will see how that goes.

Have a great day!  I am sure I am going to need a nap very soon :)

Running- 3.6, 44:47, ave12:27, best 7:08, Laps- 13:12, 13:01, 12:08, 10:48 (.6)

Biking 55 minutes converts to 4.6 miles  Oh my GOSH!!!  I decided for fun to take a route that I normally bike without the boys.  Let's just say that when i ride alone it takes 37 minute!  It took me 55:37!  I am wiped out! :D  But I think that is a good thing.

Yoga- 62 minutes  Great class today.  We did my favorites- headstands!  We did hand stands and fore arm stands too.  I am amazed at how much my IT band has stopped bothering me since I have resumed my yoga practice.  Yeah!!

Push ups-  I am going to try the website Kelli suggested http://hundredpushups.com/ and see if I can EVER do more than 2 push ups!  EEK!!!  I thougth I was trying to downsize my life ;)

Now, I woke up feeling pretty regular, you know the morning, "I'd rather stay in bed" feeling, except not even as bad as some days.  Anyway, I deciede to run first and do yoga later.  So I headed off.  My calves were pretty tight, so I stopped to stretch a few times.  The first three miles felt really great and relaxed.  It was dark so I couldn't see my garmin, good thing.  At mile 3 I really did no feel so well.  I wanted to stop.  At 3.5 miles I started to get a stitch in my side, like I do when I am running my very fastest.  Anyway, after looking at my splits I guess I am sick ;)  Geez-louise!  I feel pretty warn out and tired.  I went to the store and bought everything that looked good.  I bought bananas, cantelope, pineapple, grapes, strawberries and oranges.  I have already taken the last 2 days off of work and I am still trying to find a sub for tonights meeting.  I sure hope I can.  I think I can keep this from getting full blown if I can just rest a bit.  David will be home tomorrow morning and all day Friday.

Running- 4.04, 57:14, best 10:47, Laps- 14:55, 13:38, 14:07, 13:45

Biking- not planning on it today.   I'll see how I feel after breakfast.  The boys are already begging to go :(

Yoga- Who knows, I'll just have to see how I feel later.

Push-ups!  No way! :D

The run was very nice this morning. I felt great when I woke up this morning! YEAH!!  The run felt great except for the last mile and a half.  I was really tired for that portion of the run.  The biking was tiresome.  I am tired now.   I am going to do some laundry today, but not much elseFortunately I was able to get a sub last night so I could rest.  The two days of rest made a big difference for me, I'm sure.  Tomorrow Michelle is going to pace me for a 5k.  I am planning on making salsa tomorrow too.  I am going to grill all of the peppers and onions, when I say "I" I mean David ;)  It should be tasty!  My calves were pretty tight so I stopped and rubbed them out at about .7 miles into the run.

Have a wonderful day all you speedy speedsters!!! :D

Thank you Michelle and Ali for helping us!  Thanks Michelle for your most excellent race coaching!  I learned SO much!  I am going to have to figure out a payment/lure to get this FANTASTIC training from you on a more regular basis- say, like once a month or something?  Do you need service hours? :D

Michelle and Alli came by this morning for a little redemption.  They paced Kim and me on the Onion Day's 5k route.  They got here at o'dark hundred and ran the route first.  Kim and I slept :)  We jogged over to the start.  It was pretty dark, but the stars and moon made it just right.  The temperature was perfect for a run.  My brain has suddenly turned to mush- must eat!

Have a GREAT day!!!

Running 4.4 miles, 40 minutes, ave pace 9:36, best 6:54

Laps-

9:39- this mile felt just fine.  Michelle kept telling me to "shut it!"

9:20- started to get a stitch and be very fatigued.  Michelle started to really coach me here.  I learned a TON about race strategy.

9:35- my legs were numb, all warm and fuzzy, and Michelle was trying to get me to slap her hand and I couldn't make my legs do it, so she slapped my bum :)  I did get one good slap in at one point and another wimp slap toward the end.  Michelle told me to "set my Amazon Goddess free."  All I could think was "the amazon goddess is all tied up in fat and can't get loose." :D lol

:59 (.1) It finally clicked in my brain that no matter how fast I ran, it was still going to be VERY uncomfortable, so I may as well run faster.  Michelle had been saying this the whole last half, but it did not make sense until the very end.

Biking 50 minutes = 4.17  David is home today, so we can go together.  Fun!!!  I can also go further from home.  I don't like to take the boys very far without David, in case something happens.

Hey, yesterday I took, or I should say Michelle took, 1 min 20 seconds off of my 5k on Labor Day :)

Today's run was low and slow.  I had to stop at a 1/2 mile due to severe calf cramps.  I stretched and rubbed them out and then they were fine.  We walked a lot during the first 4 miles off and on.  The legs were MUSH, well not so much mush as TOTALLY NOT FRESH!  The complete opposite of fresh :)  The last two miles were just fine.  I am guessing the legs just had to get the idea that there was no way out of this run today.

Today I am making salsa FOR SURE!!  I roasted all of the garlic, peppers and onions yesterday.  The tomatoes are peeled.  Now I just have to throw it all together and VOILA!!!  Yummy salsa!  Salsa is DONE :)  18 quarts! But I tripped in the carport over David's STUPID car that he is working on and busted up my ankle and elbow!  They HURT!!!!!  I'm so ticked at him.  I asked him to move the STUPID thing last night!!!

Running- 6.1 miles  1:24:53, best 9:23, ave 13:57 Laps- 13:18, 13:47, 15:07, 14:44, 11:12, 11:00

Biking- 39 minutes = 3.25 running miles  Time whise, I don't need this much biking today, but I may as well get two miles in as one :D  I did more because I just felt like it.  I had a major "come to Jesus" with myself about what I want to do with running.  I made some pretty lofty goals and I am feeling excited.

Yoga- 60 minutes
